【Application Example】Bidirectional Reading NaI(Tl) Scintillator
Established technology for the development of double-sided readout NaI(Tl) with full mirror polishing treatment! A case study of radiation arrival measurement at Kobe Tokiwa University measurement technology.
At Kobe University of Commerce, research is underway to develop measurement techniques that utilize the direction of radiation to remove background noise and improve measurement sensitivity. We would like to introduce a case in which we received a request in 2023 for the development of a high-precision scintillator to be used in these measurements. Preliminary research conducted at the university required special structures, including double-sided light readout and full mirror finishing. To meet these requirements, we conducted structural design and prototype testing, identifying suitable conditions for crystallization, processing, and sealing. We established high-quality manufacturing and processing know-how to respond to these special requirements and delivered the finished product in July 2024. [Implemented Design and Processing Technologies] ■ Full mirror finish ■ Double-sided readout ■ Selection of reflective materials *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
